This category lists languages that we happen to identify via their ISO 639-2 code, even if by coincidence with their ISO 639-3 code.
Some languages have two ISO 639-2 codes, one for bibliographic purpose (
ISO 639-2/B
, used primarily by librarians), and another code for technical purpose (
ISO 639-2/T
, used for language tagging on the web), however, most of them also have an ISO 639-1 code (which should be used instead). Some wikis will still prefer localizations using ISO 639-3 codes only.
