Vanessa Paradis brings sister as date to movie premiere

Vanessa Paradis brought her sister as her date to the premiere of her new film “Cafe de Flore,” amid rumors that she and Johnny Depp are living separate lives and may have already split.

Paradis made one of her first public appearances last night since rumors about the state of her and Depp’s relationship began, with sister Allyson at her side rather than her longtime love. Depp is believed to be in Los Angeles with the couple’s two children.

At the premiere, Paradis only paused briefly for photos on the red carpet, posing in a black blazer and red leather pants. According to the Daily Mail , reporters were asked “not to ask personal questions” of the actress. Paradis apparently also left the premiere early, heading straight to the after-party at a nearby club.

Earlier in the day, a French radio station asked Paradis about the reports surrounding her and Depp.

“You know, when I eat three peas, I’m pregnant. When I visit a city, I’m buying a house. In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry,” Paradis said, not giving an outright denial. “It’s been 15 years since I’ve been getting married every year. In addition I have to answer all these rumors!”

Earlier in the week, Paradis spoke about her movie, in which she plays a single mother in Paris in the 1960s who is in love with a friend. Paradis shared that she was very moved by the material. While she didn’t reference Depp per se, she did discuss the idea of soulmates and loss.

“‘Cafe De Flore’ speaks of love, its joys, its pains and its dramas ? to love and to lose. This story upset me, I was upside-down, in the depths of myself,” Paradis said. “The idea of a soulmate is beautiful and very romantic to talk about it in a movie or a song, but in reality, I find it scary. If you lose your soulmate everything is done for.”

Meanwhile, Depp last appeared at the Golden Globes solo.
