Gullit in shock over Chelsea sacking

The former Dutch football star, Ruud Gullit, who was sacked yesterday Thursdayas player-manager of the London club, Chelsea, has said he's in shock and doesn't know why he was dismissed.

At a news conference in London, Mr Gullit said he'd been ready to sign a new contract and hadn't made excessive wage demands.

Mr Gullit, who took Chelsea to second-place in the English premiership league, has been replaced by the Italian international, Gianluca Vialli.
