Items owned by screen legend Katharine Hepburn - who died aged 96 last June - have sold for $5.8m (£3.3m) at auction.
Among the 695 lots sold at Sotheby's in New York were some of her own paintings, as well as clothing, jewellery, photographs and furniture.
A diamond and sapphire brooch fetched $120,000 (£65,650).
But a small bronze bust of Spencer Tracy - which Hepburn made and had been estimated to sell for around $4,000 (£2,884) - made $316,000 (£180,447).
'Enduring legacy'
"We are absolutely thrilled with the results achieved for Miss Hepburn's estate - a testament to her enduring legacy," said Leila Dunbar of Sotheby's.
"It was her wish to give the public a chance to own something of hers.
"And the immense power of her celebrity and worldwide appeal had a significant impact on the bidding, driving prices to many multiples of their estimates."
The two-day auction, which included personal effects such as her wedding dress, letters, film contracts and her telephone, offered a glimpse into the life of the intensely private star.
High bidding

Hundreds of collectors and fans of the four-times Oscar-winning actress attended the auction on Thursday and Friday, with numerous internet and telephone bidders.
One buyer paid $27,000 (£14,800) for a cream-coloured velvet dress Hepburn wore when she married Ludlow Ogden Smith in 1928. The marriage lasted six years.
A silver cigarette box engraved with the signatures of the rest of the cast from the Broadway production of The Philadelphia Story sold for $57,000 (£31,200).
And two cancelled cheques made out to Hepburn's former voice coach sold for $2,280 (£1,250) and $2,400 (£1,300).
Money raised from the sale will go into a trust for Hepburn's family.
