Hello Friends and Enemies,
Recently the work of Dr. Jason Reza Jorjani has been brought to my attention. It should be made clear that the founding of Classical Prometheism, my work, began in January of 2018. It should also be made clear that this movement is distinct from the work of Jorjani, and was founded without his influence. It continued to develop separate from his influence for 6 years.
I became aware of the work of Dr. Jorjani on February, 3rd 2024. I have yet to dive deep into the work of Jorjani and have only yet to watch a few interviews and do some very shallow reading. While it appears that Dr, Jorjani and myself have several highly conflicting views, I will reserve making any judgement on his work or his character until I have had time to properly examine his work and perhaps have a conversation with him.
Upon my initial viewing, the movements share a good deal of symbolic imagery and have come to similar conclusions on some topics. Perhaps this is unsurprising as we have both been following the path of Promethean thought and appear to share several philosophical influences. That being said, it appears that we diverge on several very important topics.
While I have not confirmed this, I have seen various reports that Dr. Jorjani is an active member of the Alt-Right, a proponent of Eugenics, an Ethno-Nationalist, a Fascist, a full-blown Nazi, a Zionist, a proponent of Genocide, a fan of Ghislaine Maxwell, a supporter of Iranian violence, a Post-Humanist, and was somehow involved with a PMC called Jellyfish. Obviously, these are some very serious claims which I have yet to verify or reach my own opinion on.
I hope you understand that we are an organization that supports human flourishing of individuals independent of sex, gender, race, ethnicity, or any other immutable characteristic. Promethism holds that a person should be judged based on the quality of their character and the products of their consciousness. I also hope that I do not need to clarify that we are not an organization that supports the Alt-Right, Eugenics, Ethno-Nationalism, a Fascism, Nazism, Zionism, Genocide, Ghislaine Maxwell, Iranian violence, or Posthumanism. We are in fact an organization that is in direct opposition to all of these movements or individuals.
Concerning the PMC called Jellyfish, I will proudly admit that we are an organization that does indeed support the raising and training of private Armies as a way to circumvent Authoritarian regimes. This should be no surprise as we maintain the Promethean War College.
It is important to understand that now that I have been made aware of Jorjani’s work, it is impossible to believe that it will have zero future influence on my own. In fact, if the above statements made about Jorjani’s movement and character are true, it will likely influence my work to be far more vocal on the opposition to the above movements, Jorjani’s work, and how they are a perversion of Promethean thought.
I have no reason to believe that Jorjani has been influenced by my own work and his journey down the path of Promethean thought appears to predate my own. That being said, Jorjani has claimed that his Prometheism movement began in 2020, at least two years after my own.
Because of this, you should feel free to call my work “Classical Prometheism”, “Chaotic Promethism”, “Eudaimonic Prometheism”, or “Prometheism as told by Chaos.” I will here forward be referring to Jorjani’s movement as “Jorjanian Prometheism” to clearly separate it from my own movement.
As I continue my work, I will attempt to make it explicitly known where Classical Prometheism and Jorjanian Prometheism diverge but in good faith, will do my best to provide Jorjani with an honest, and even charitable lens even when there are significant, and likely conflicting, philosophical and ethical differences.
If you have any direct questions about Classical Prometheism and its founding, please be sure to reach out.
Thank you,
-Chaos
